Mearth Technology Pty. Ltd., commonly known as Mearth, is an Australian micromobility company based in Sydney, Australia that focuses on the creation, innovation and development of electric scooters.
Mearth was founded by Ming Ye, a 1st generation Australian citizen who graduated Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Sydney (USYD) in Australia. The concept and brainstorming of Mearth began in 2015, but soon after the company was officially registered in 2017.
From 2017 to this day – year in, year out – endless enhancements and improvements are constantly made by Team Mearth to ensure its commitment to innovation and its loyalty to its patrons that Mearth only provides the best, the most premium, first-class e-scooters. And because the company strongly believes in using high-quality materials for its electric scooters, they guarantee total performance, incredible durability and reliability and of course long-lastingness.
Mearth is widely considered to be at the front of the line in the electric scooter industry, leading the market bravely. Mearth places a strong emphasis on design and functionality, creating scooters that not only look great but also perform well and are easy to use.
The idea for Mearth began in 2015. An electric scooter prototype was made in March 2016, and by October of the same year, the MarkII had been completed. By February of 2017, a manufacturable e-scooter was complete. This was alsio the year the company was registered.
In January 2018, a second-gen Mearth e-scooter was launched. Within the same year, Mearth joined Incubate, an award-winning startup program at the University of Sydney. According to the program, Mearth had generated over $115,000 in revenue and shipped 210 units in less than three months.
In February 2019, Mearth launched their first Mearth X Series e-scooter and later that year, they introduced the Mearth X Pro.
In September 2020, Mearth released the entry-level S Series electric scooters which featured the Mearth S and S Pro electric scooters.
During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia, Mearth donated dozens of Mearth X and Mearth X Pro electric scooters to NSW healthcare workers to help ease their commute. The e-scooters were distributed in hospitals like Macquarie University Hospital, Meditech Staffing, Mater Hospital Sydney, Royal North Shore and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
In December 2020, Mearth introduced their flagship off-road electric scooter line called the Mearth GTS Series, which featured the Mearth GTS and GTS MAX.
In January 2021, Mearth released an upgraded Mearth X Pro. By March, Mearth had been recognised as a best-selling e-scooter brand by over 30 Australian stockists.
In July 2021, Mearth began the initial development of the ultimate long-range e-scooter that is now known as the Mearth RS, carrying two (2) models under it: the Mearth RS and RS Pro. It was later officially launched in September of the same year.
In December 2022, the Mearth S Series, RS Series and GTS Series were all given an upgrade and were all renamed to the Mearth S Series 2023, RS Series 2023 and GTS Series 2023.
And finally, in February 2023, Mearth released its latest, most dynamic, smartest electric scooter, the Mearth Cyber.
